Qing'an Temple is also called “Matsu Temple”, which located on the left side of Jhong 2nd Road. It is one of the oldest temples in Keelung city in the early day, the area was a bustling port and a majority of its residents lived by fishing. It was established during the Chienlung Regime for the worship of Matsu. It has had more than two centuries of history and become the city's major religious reliance. At Qing'an Temple, the dragon sculptures are exquisite; the stone carving lions are vivid, and the inside walls are Italian and elegant. The Matsu is enshrined in the middle of Qing'an Temple; the clairvoyant and the clairaudient are enshrined on both sides. Qing'an Temple of Keelung is the only Matsu Temple which worships Matsu of Meichou, Changchou, and Chuancho. Qing'an Temple, Tianhou Temple at Heping Island and Chenghuang Temple are named the top 3 famous temples in Keelung.
